If you are interested in having your child join the Mount Royal Children’s Choir and would like an opportunity to observe the ensemble in action, please feel free to have your child join us for one of our open rehearsals.

Mount Royal Youth Choir - Ages 13-19 yrsThe Mount Royal Youth Choir is a mixed chorus comprised of youth from age 13 to 19 years, performing a wide variety of challenging repertoire. Recognized across Canada for its outstanding performances at national choral and music education conferences, the choir has also earned critical acclaim during tours of Canada, Great Britain, Europe, Australia & Mexico.
Audition Information
No previous singing experience is required.
The purpose of the audition interview is to give us a chance to hear your voice and reserve your spot in the choir. Come prepared to sing a familiar song (O Canada, Happy Birthday, a well-known hymn, tune, etc.) and to talk about music; other musical activities, the types of music you like, and your musical goals. We love to explore and find opportunities for our members to share their particular talents and to help shape the group and the music we select for performances.

2013/14 Open Rehearsals
Interested singers are also welcome to join the choir for one of the above open rehearsal. This provides potential choristers and opportunity to meet other members of the choir, get a feel for the group, the music we sing, and have fun singing with the Mount Royal Youth Choir.
