Mount Royal Children’s Choir

The Mount Royal Children’s Choir is one of the Conservatory’s many opportunities for your child to begin a rewarding and life long journey in music. In addition to the many physical, psychological and emotional benefits that come from singing in a choir, participating in the choral arts is one of the most uplifting, joyous, and fun activities that will stay with your child for the rest of their life.

The Mount Royal Children’s choir is designed to grow your child’s musicianship and musical literacy, develop your child’s natural instrument, ignite your child’s passion for music, and fan the flames of a musical journey that will figuratively and literally take your child around the world. Your child’s musical journey begins with one of our preliminary voice check interviews. We hope to see you and your child on one of the dates listed below.

Voice Check Interviews

To make an appointment please call 403.440.6832 or e-mail the Program Coordinator, Choral Programs at

chasannielsen@mtroyal.ca

No previous singing experience is required. The purpose of the voice check is to give us a chance to hear your child’s voice and reserve your child’s spot in the choir. We will ask your child to sing a familiar song like O Canada, Happy Birthday, or a well-known nursery rhyme. Let the Journey begin!

If you are interested in having your child join the Mount Royal Children’s Choir call 403.440.6832 or e-mail the Program Coordinator, Choral Programs at
