Mount Royal Youth Choir Auditions for 2012-13 season
The Mount Royal Youth Choir is at the brink of an exciting new stage in its already rich and varied history. The excitement is building as we eagerly anticipate the opening of the Bella Theatre and the new Conservatory building in 2014. Last season was full of many exciting, unique, diverse, challenging, and fun musical twists and turns and we are looking forward to even more rewarding musical experiences to come this season. The Mount Royal Youth Choir experience is unlike any other choral experience and we want you to be a part of the energy and excitement.
If you are energetic, passionate about music, curious about the world, and above all love to have fun while making music then come to any one of our preliminary interview/auditions.
To make an appointment please call 403.440.6832 or e-mail the Program Coordinator, Choral Programs at email@example.com
No previous singing experience is required. The purpose of the audition is to give us a chance to hear your voice and reserve your spot in the choir. Come prepared to sing a familiar song (O Canada, Happy Birthday, a well-known hymn tune, etc.) and to talk about music; other musical activities, the types of music you like, and your musical goals. We love to explore and find opportunities for our members to share their particular talents and to help shape the group and the music we select for performances.
Interested singers are welcome to join the choir for one of the following open rehearsal. This provides potential choristers an opportunity to meet other members of the choir, get a feel for the group, the music we sing, and have fun singing with the Mount Royal Youth Choir.
